Job Responsibilities
As an employee with us, you will have a varied workday with the goal of rotating within some of the clinic's five areas: physiology, neurophysiology, nuclear medicine, cardiac ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound. You will perform exciting and diverse examinations and work with advanced technology. It is also a role where you will be close to your patients while performing various examinations. We work with several different methods and are a development-focused organization where we constantly want to improve our routines and processes. All professional groups are involved in quality and development work. Other tasks may also occur, and the nature of the work may change over time.
As an experienced biomedical analyst or radiology nurse, you have the opportunity to contribute to development within our areas. Are you interested in nuclear medicine? Great! We are starting PET-CT in Region Västmanland! Do you feel that neurophysiology is your thing? Fantastic! We have a strong collaboration with Uppsala University Hospital. Do you enjoy performing vascular ultrasounds and want to work in a unique environment with a one-stop approach? Perfect! Our BMAs work alongside the region's vascular surgeons! About the Workplace
The Physiology Clinic operates at Västmanlands sjukhus Västerås. Within the clinic, there are areas of physiology, neurophysiology, nuclear medicine, cardiac ultrasound, and vascular ultrasound. Approximately 45 skilled and dedicated employees in various professions work here. We have a broad operation with high quality and accessibility for clinically valuable examinations. Our work environment is important and should be characterized by high participation, flexibility, and good teamwork. Feedback, education, and guidance are part of our daily routine. Our patients and referrers should experience a good spirit of service and reception.

As a biomedical analyst at the Physiology Clinic, you play a central and crucial role in supporting patient care through diagnostic examinations. One advantage is that we have all sections gathered with us, which creates a stimulating and varied work climate with opportunities for ongoing development in several areas of expertise. The work environment is characterized by openness and collaboration, where we support each other to promote high-quality care.
When you start with us, it is important that you feel secure. Therefore, you will receive a well-structured introduction over a week where you will observe all areas. After that, you will shadow more experienced colleagues and check off a checklist on all work tasks before you begin to work independently. You will be assigned a mentor with whom you will have regular follow-ups. The educational climate is good and open, we have modern equipment and nice facilities. We conduct research projects and have good collaboration with the Center for Clinical Research. We do not have on-call duties but family-friendly working hours Monday to Friday (7:30 AM – 4:15 PM) with flexible hours within certain frameworks.

Qualifications
You who are relevant for the position are a trained biomedical analyst or are in the final stages of your education. A significant plus is if you have training or experience in the field of clinical physiology. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Information technology and digital development are a large and important part of the operation – therefore, you should be comfortable with computer work.
Method development and quality work are also a large part of the job. Therefore, you need to be structured, meticulous, and quality-conscious. You act independently, are professional, and want to develop in your role. You see knowledge exchange with colleagues as rewarding, are attentive, and have good collaborative skills. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
Employment Conditions
Permanent employment, full-time and daytime.
Start date according to agreement.
